comment responses

boxtops for education coming your way, erin. everyone who lives by me, save your boxtops for education for me, please. i'll add 'em in with my own. :)

i gave up the sock boycott. my feet were cold. and once i had socks on i remember how cute i think feet are when they have socks on. :)

erin, you would have been quite impressed with the fire halloween night. fire, fire.

erin, if i ever make it anywhere near you... the alamo won't compare to being able to see you again.

jean, i want to go to las vegas because i've never been there. and i have a fascination with lights. seriously, i have a tendency to just stare at them. bad for my eyesight, but stimulating to my mind.

challenge update

i wouldn't want people to think i was ignoring their responses to my challenge. if you have no idea what i'm talking about, or just missed it the first time, the challenge is still extended. i dare you:

1. First, recommend to me:
* a movie * a book * a musical artist, song, or album:
2. Ask me three questions, no more, no less. Ask me anything you want.

the response:
movies (none of which i've seen before) - garden state, splendor in the grass, finding neverland, before sunrise & before sunset
books (most of which i've never read before) - bluebeard by kurt vonnegut (yes, greg, i want to borrow your copy), flowers for algernon, atlas shrugged by ayn rand, harry potter (i've read the firt three), the magic treehouse series
music (none of which i've heard before) - anex by adam johnson (yes, greg, i want you to post), beautiful letdown by switchfoot, diary of alicia keys by alicia keys, dead dog's eyeball

great suggestions, especially since so much of it is brand new to me. once the holidays are over (yes, i'm blaming the holidays) i am going to start reading again. and if you guys have any of those cd's... and feel like loaning them out... :)

and your questions to me:
square root of 3498? 59.1438923304849796727925701158953
licks to the center of a tootsie pop? they make mini ones know that you can bite right into without any licks. :)
which came first, chicken or egg? chicken. i don't think God would have asked adam to sit on an egg until it hatched
you've won million dollars - who do you call first? my mother
you've won million dollars - what do you buy yourself first? g5 with a cinema display
you've won million dollars - who do you buy someone else first? anything my parents wanted
why does callie love to poo in her bath? i have no idea... but i'm glad she's your child :)
christmas shopping done? no. i've still got one gift to buy
how does one search for sanity? i dont' know, but i'm pretty sure it can't be done in a newspaper office

gifts & such

today, my dove chocolate wrapper said "a smile is the perfect gift, personal and encouraging". i agree, but i think this carlo doll makes a pretty kick butt gift, too.

Christmas cards will not be going out this year, but please count yourself wished a very merry Christmas. :) i kept saying i was going to make cards, and it just never happend. so then i decide to buy cards, and i kept looking at the ones at the stores going "i could make something cuter than that". and so you see my circle.

Christmas is less than two weeks away. amazing. for a day that comes the same time every year, it does seem to sneak up on me.
